URBAN PLANTERS SELECTED TO CREATE PLANTING SCHEME FOR ORANGE
November 18th 2008
Urban Planters is continuing to build on its strong working relationship with facilities management company Johnson Controls with the signing of a contract to supply Orange UK with a new and extensive planting scheme throughout its UK office sites.
The deal involves 16 Orange offices in all, stretching from Newcastle to Plymouth, with six Urban Planters franchises working to provide a local service to each site.
More than 820 plant displays will be used in the schemes; all so-called ‘scrubbers’, which clean the air of the toxins emitted by office equipment. To fulfil the client’s brief of creating a simple and uniform look to create the same impression for people entering any of its buildings, only 12 different plant species were used throughout.
To complement the colours of the Orange brand, all the plants are in black, glossy containers of varying shapes and sizes.
Joint Managing Director of Urban Planters, Thomas Palfreyman said: ‘we worked hard to create a scheme to meet Johnson Controls’ and Orange’s specifications and now we are starting to get the displays in place, they work really well with the company’s corporate branding and the décor of their offices’.
‘We are now working with Orange on other opportunities to continue to create schemes which improve the aesthetics and the air quality in their buildings.’
