Our existing client De Montfort University approached Urban Planters to design a planting scheme for their newly-built, £35 million Faculty of Business & Law.
The Leicester-based University invited Urban Planters to come up with a design which would enhance the new building’s simple, modern décor. They also wanted plants which would be easily noticeable and positioned so that passing students would not bump into them.
Placed in “safe” places around communal areas, the plants selected were branched specimens with strong, distinctive shapes, and planted in sturdy, tall containers, creating a scheme which provided focal points to bring life to the rooms.
I was pleased that Urban Planters were able to provide an innovative planting scheme for the new building. With all the building and furniture being brand new it was important to have some greenery to soften and compliment the environment. We find Urban Planters very easy to work with and their service and attention to detail is always excellent.
