Animal-ravaged planters, vines creeping around pillars and large, leafy plants create the feel of a lost jungle ruin in an Aztec-themed restaurant at Chessington World of Adventures Resort.
Using a mixture of live, replica and preserved planting and customizing aged wooden containers with “animal” scratches, charring and a washed up effect, Urban Planters created a planting scheme which makes the Temple Restaurant & Bar look as if it is an Aztec ruin being taken over by the jungle.
Robert Wright, Hotel Operations Director said: “Urban Planters have added the final detail to this important addition to Chessington World of Adventures Resort and created a truly immersive environment for our guests to dine amongst leaf cutter ants and live piranha! Thank you for all your hard work in creating such a top job and congratulations on your well-deserved award. We are proud to be working with you.”
The scheme also impressed eFIG, which awarded it a Gold Leaf at its 2015 awards.
