Far from ‘tyred: a scheme with traction for legendary motorbike makers.

When Harley Davidson asked Urban Planters Oxford to create a planting scheme for their Oxford offices, they wanted something to reflect their iconic business image.

We found the perfect container to achieve this: round anthracite containers in the colour and pattern of tyres. What’s more, we used shredded rubber top dressing to add a new layer to the theme.

These planters not only sit happily next to the various motorbikes on display around the office, they also match the tones around the workplace, which feature a range of black and grey furniture.

To add a rustic feel to the space, a range of large leafed-plants were selected, including Podocarpus and Ficus Lyrata. We also selected Codiaeum variegatum ‘Petra’, for the colour and shape of their leaves to tie in with the Harley Davidson branding.
