Urban Planters Northampton were asked to design a scheme to “soften” the ground floor of the prestigious Staverton Park Hotel, owned by the De Vere Hotel Group. This came on the back of very positive relationships the chain have with Urban Planters throughout the UK, most notably the recent installation at their hotel in Cheadle.
To compliment the ambiance of the hotel, pots made of natural materials, but with a very contemporary feel were chosen.
In the main foyer, large “lava” style pots were used which incorporate a wide stainless steel rim, packed full of luscious green kentia palms, certainly make a stunning impact when entering the hotel.
The theme continues into the colonial style bar, with Chamaedorea elegans giving a vibrant green injection to the surroundings – in spite of the relatively low light levels. In the busy restaurant, architectural and unobtrusive Sansevieria were used in a combination of smoke and natural-coloured pots.
To bring cheerful colour to both the reception and restaurant welcome desks, there are bowls planted with flowering plants.
