At Urban Planters, we specialise in creating healthier, more inspiring environments through biophilic design. As an industry leader, for decades, we have designed, sourced, installed and maintained bespoke plant displays, green walls, artificial plant displays and living installations for commercial offices, public spaces, retail venues, healthcare settings and hospitality sites.
As well as designing and creating aesthetically pleasing spaces, we believe that connecting people with nature inside and outside built environments is vital for mental clarity, stress reduction and overall wellbeing. Whether that’s introducing some simple plant displays around an open-plan office, a large tree in the lobby area or a peaceful outdoor garden that supports biodiversity, we can work with you to make your world greener.
Our people are passionate about plants, from our designers to our service technicians, and with over 150 plant technicians and 14 branches throughout the UK, we can support any business to meet their biophilic design and planting needs, locally and nationally.
As the official planting partner and Gold Sponsor for Neuroplaces, Urban Planters is supplying biophilic design features and planting throughout the venue.
Our primary focus is the Reset Lounge, a dedicated, calm space created to allow attendees to pause, decompress, and recharge during the event. By integrating strategically selected plants, living foliage and natural textures, our greenery helps lower sensory overload, soften acoustic harshness, and foster an environment of restorative calm.
To achieve this, we will be featuring palm-style planting such as Kentia Palms, structured plants such as Dracaenas and Yukka’s. For the planters, we will be looking at utilising lighter and earthy colours and finishes to create softer tones. We will also look to create clusters of plant displays in various sizes and random, as it would be in the natural world.
Working with the Sonda Studio, the idea for this space to is to help people
A space to connect with nature, sound and light.
Explore how movement changes the way you feel.
Discover the textures your body naturally responds to.
Biophilia, our innate biological need to connect with nature, plays a central role in sensory-considerate and neuroinclusive design. In busy or overwhelming environments, nature serves as a powerful natural reset.
Greenery introduces organic shapes, natural greens and subtle textures that reduce visual chaos and mental fatigue.
Strategic plant foliage helps absorb sound bounce, reducing harsh background noise in high-footfall areas.
Plants improve indoor microclimates, helping visitors stay present, focused and comfortable.
Our contribution to Neuroplaces demonstrates how simple, intentional plant integration can turn standard interiors into inclusive, welcoming and sensory friendly spaces.
